Mintspell

How Mintspell works

Everything on this page is what the site actually does. Where a number comes from a server setting it says so.

What Mintspell is

Mintspell is a memecoin launchpad on Solana where an AI does the launching. You describe a coin in one sentence in the chat; the AI checks the ticker, proposes three complete coins, draws the mascot, sets the protections and builds the transaction. You sign it once in your wallet. Coins trade on a Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve and graduate to a permanent pool when the curve fills.

There are no forms. Launching, buying, selling, checking on a coin and changing its treasury policy all happen by talking to the agent, or on the coin page with normal buttons.

Launch a coin

  1. Connect a wallet with the Connect button. Phantom signs you in with one dialog; other wallets take two.
  2. Type one sentence in the chat, for example a sleepy owl who only wakes up for the Solana dip.
  3. Pick one of three options. Each has a name, ticker, one-line lore and a mascot description. You can also tweak one in words.
  4. Approve the mascot. The AI draws it in about 20 seconds. "Try another" redraws it; "Use this mascot" makes it final. Have your own art? Use the image button next to the chat box (png, jpeg or webp, up to 2 MB) and the agent uses it instead of drawing.
  5. Choose your first buy. It is bundled into the launch transaction itself, so nobody can front-run you. It is capped at 20% of the curve. Optional X and Telegram links go here too.
  6. Confirm and sign. The card shows every number: rent, first buy, AI cost if any, the total. One signature creates the mint, the pool and your first buy together.

Your coin gets a page at mintspell.fun/coin/<address> with the chart, trades, treasury and the agent’s reports. Share it with the "Share on X" button.

What it costs

Launch fee0. Mintspell charges nothing to launch.
Solana network rentAbout 0.02 SOL, paid to the network for the accounts a token needs. Not ours.
AI cost of the chatFree up to $0.25 per chat and $0.50 per wallet per day, which covers a normal launch. Beyond that the exact amount is shown and either added to your launch or prepaid with a top-up of at least 0.01 SOL. Unused credit counts toward your launch.
Trade feeA flat 1% on every buy and sell on the curve. It is a pool fee, not a token tax: the coin itself has no tax and no transfer restrictions.

Where the 1% goes: 20% to Meteora (the curve program), 30% to the creator, 40% to the coin’s treasury, 10% to Mintspell. The split is printed on every coin page.

The wards

Every coin ships with the same on-chain settings. Nobody can switch them off, including the creator and including us.

  • Liquidity permanently locked at graduation. Nobody can pull it.
  • The creator’s free share is locked. The creator receives 2% of supply for free, locked until 30 days after graduation and then released over six months. Coins the creator buys are not locked, so every creator trade is labelled on the coin page.
  • No mint or freeze authority. Supply cannot be inflated and wallets cannot be frozen.
  • First buy capped at 20% of the curve, so a creator cannot buy out their own launch.
  • Flat 1% fee, no hidden tax. Wallet scanners that check for taxes find none.
  • Sniper shield (optional, chosen at launch). For the first 3 minutes, buys pay a fee that starts at 25% and falls to 1%, so bots that snipe launches lose money. The creator’s own first buy and every sell pay 1%. The trade-off: OKX Wallet reads a coin’s starting fee and shows shielded coins with a permanent “25% buy / 25% sell tax” label even though the real fee is 1% after three minutes and sells were never taxed; Phantom shows no such label. The coin page shows exactly when the shield ends.
  • Metadata freezes after a 10-minute window to fix a typo.

Wards limit specific rug mechanics. They do not stop a coin from going to zero, and they do not stop any holder from selling. Read the risk disclosure.

Treasury and the resident agent

40% of every trade fee is routed to a treasury wallet that belongs to the coin, not to the creator. The routing runs every ten minutes once unclaimed fees pass 0.001 SOL, and every payment is listed on the coin page with its transaction.

A resident agent runs the treasury under a published policy and posts a report once a day. The report is generated from on-chain data with no language model involved, so it cannot make things up.

  • Buy back and burn (default): whenever the treasury holds at least 0.05 SOL, it spends half of it buying the coin from its own curve and burns what it bought.
  • Holder rewards: the same buy, but the coins are sent to holders in proportion to their balances. The top 100 holders with at least 0.001% of supply qualify; the pool vault and the treasury itself never do.
  • Hold: the treasury only accumulates.

The creator can switch policy or change the numbers by asking the agent in chat, for example switch my coin’s treasury to holder rewards. A change is shown on the coin page immediately and takes effect after 24 hours, so holders see it coming. After graduation the buy goes through Jupiter to the coin’s permanent pool. Buybacks and rewards are a mechanical rule, not price support and not a reason to buy.

Buying and selling

Every coin page has a normal buy and sell box with a live quote, the fee and the price impact. Trading there uses no AI and costs only the 1% fee plus network fees. You can also trade by chat ("buy 0.1 SOL of SPELLPUP"), which uses a little AI allowance for the conversation.

Your holdings page shows every Mintspell coin in your wallet with its value, what you put in, what you took out and the P&L, computed from your own trades on the curve. Coins bought from another wallet show up under that wallet.

Trade page: meme bubbles

The Trade page shows the Solana memes moving right now as floating bubbles. These are coins from across Solana, not coins launched on Mintspell, and they carry none of the wards.

  • How coins are picked. Candidates come from Jupiter’s trending and most-traded lists, kept only if the mint and freeze authorities are off and there is real liquidity. One number ranks them: volume velocity, the last 5 minutes’ volume divided by the coin’s average 5 minutes over the past hour, so the bubbles are the coins where trading is picking up right now rather than the ones that already ran. The best-ranked coins inside the market cap range you pick become bubbles, plus the most traded coins of the last 5 minutes (a quarter of the bubbles), so the busiest coin is always on the map; prices refresh every few seconds. (Social mention counts from X were part of the ranking at first and are switched off for now; the page says so under How it works if they come back.)
  • Your positions. Once your wallet is connected, a second row of bubbles above the market shows every coin you hold that you bought here or that is in the list, sized by value. It stays there even after the coin drops out of the ranking, so you can always find it and sell: one tap opens the sell card.
  • The trade card. Every card shows a price chart (last hour or last day, from the coin’s deepest pool), a safety line (RugCheck score and named risks, LP locked share, top-holder share, mint and freeze authority, any transfer tax) and, for coins you bought here, your average buy price and unrealised profit or loss. A clean safety line does not make a meme safe.
  • Auto mode. Under Adjust, switch on Auto to trade from a second wallet that lives only in your browser and signs by itself: a tap buys and a double-tap sells with no wallet prompt at all. Create it with a passcode, top it up from your main wallet (one signature), and keep only what you are actively trading in it, because anyone with your device and passcode can spend it. Its coins show in the positions row marked “auto”; withdraw the SOL back to your main wallet any time, export the key to Phantom or Solflare, or lock it. Unlocking lasts until the page is closed. Its trades count for your wallet in the history and the leaderboard.
  • Take-profit orders. On the sell side, “Take profit instead” places an on-chain Jupiter limit order: sell a share of your bag once it is worth the target (+50%, 2×, 3×, 5×). The tokens wait in escrow and come back if you cancel from the positions row. Jupiter needs orders worth at least $5 and charges 0.1% on the fill; Mintspell adds nothing. Coins with a transfer tax cannot be placed. A stop-loss (selling on a drop) is not possible this way.
  • Search any coin. The search box above the bubbles finds any Solana token by name, ticker or address and opens its trade card, whether or not it is trending.
  • Market cap filter. Pick a bucket above the bubbles (under $100K, $100K to $300K, $300K to $1M, over $1M) or set your own range. The bubbles are the best-ranked coins inside that range; sizes are relative to the bubbles shown.
  • Reading a bubble. A bigger bubble is a higher market cap (on a compressed scale, so small coins stay readable). Green is up over 24 hours, red is down; the stronger the move, the brighter the glow. A plain ring means the coin is in your wallet; a gold ring means it has two of the three signals: ★ RugCheck 1/100, 📈 paired with a tokenised stock, 💛 pays holders. 🔥 marks the most traded coins of the last 5 minutes. Hover to see market cap, the 5 min, 1 h and 24 h moves, the velocity and buys vs sells.
  • Click to buy, double-click to sell (tap and double-tap on a phone). The bar above the bubbles sets how much SOL each tap buys and what share of your bag each double-tap sells; it is remembered in your browser. A card shows the quote, the fee and the price impact before you sign. Switch on Instant to skip the card and go straight to your wallet.
  • Cost. A flat 0.5% of every buy and sell goes to the Mintspell treasury wallet as a plain transfer inside the same transaction, so your wallet shows it before you sign. Jupiter routes the swap; you also pay Solana’s network fee and the slippage you chose (3% by default).
  • History and leaderboard. Your trades are listed with what actually left and entered your wallet, read from the confirmed transaction. The trader leaderboard ranks every wallet that traded here by profit: SOL taken out plus the current value of what it still holds, minus SOL put in.

Wallets and phones

Mintspell works with any Solana wallet that supports the Wallet Standard: Phantom, Solflare, OKX Wallet, Backpack and others. On a desktop browser, install the extension and press Connect. Phantom connects and signs you in with a single dialog.

On a phone, open mintspell.fun inside your wallet app’s browser. If you open the site in a normal phone browser, the Connect button offers to open it in Phantom, Solflare or OKX for you.

Phantom currently shows a "could be malicious" warning for mintspell.fun because the domain is new and under review. The transaction itself is a standard Meteora pool creation; nothing asks for approvals or delegations. You can proceed, or use another wallet until the review completes.

For creators

  • Your creator fees (30% of the 1%) accrue in the pool. Claim them any time from My coins.
  • Your free 2% is locked until 30 days after graduation. Coins you buy are yours to sell, and those trades are labelled.
  • You can add X and Telegram links at launch; they appear on the coin page and in the token metadata that wallets and explorers read.
  • Each wallet can launch three coins per day.
  • Ask the agent "how is my coin doing" for a status, or change the treasury policy by chat: buy back and burn, holder rewards, or hold.
  • Your coin’s daily report and any buyback or reward show on My coins, and the agent greets you with them in chat when you come back.

FAQ

Is it a honeypot? No. The token has no tax and no authorities. The 1% is the pool’s trading fee, the same kind pump.fun and Raydium charge. Check any Mintspell mint on Solscan: mint authority none, freeze authority none.

Why does OKX Wallet say “honeypot” on a brand-new coin? OKX runs its own risk check that flags very young coins with little trading, even when every indicator on its own page is green and buy and sell tax read 1%. Sells work, directly and through aggregators; the label clears once a coin has real activity, and holders can use “Report token” on the OKX page to dispute it. Phantom shows no such warning.

How does Mintspell make money? 10% of the 1% pool fee on coins launched here, and a flat 0.5% on bubble trades on the Trade page. Launches are free.

Can the creator dump? The creator’s free share is locked from graduation. Coins the creator buys can be sold like anyone’s, and every creator trade is labelled on the coin page.

Why does my wallet say "Unknown token" when I launch? The coin does not exist until your transaction lands, so the wallet has nothing to name yet. Wallets pick up the name and image afterwards.

What if the launch fails halfway? If the pool already exists, the site recognises it and continues; a launch that landed is never lost. If a wallet dialog takes longer than a transaction stays valid, the site rebuilds it and asks you to sign once more.

Where are the rules written down? Terms, Privacy, Risk disclosure. Questions: @mintspellfun on X.
